Good360 heralds in early Christmas for Cire community

Christmas has come early for people of all ages within the extensive reach of Cire Services, thanks to Good360 and the generous philanthropy of its partnerships drawn from businesses and manufacturers throughout Australia.

Good 360 is a not-for-profit initiative that helps match make surplus new goods with Australians facing challenging life circumstances. The goods are donated to Good360 by socially responsible companies and distributed by registered NFPs like Cire.

Cire has recently received a diverse range of items valued at an almost $163,000 that will benefit those who access services and program through our core operations: Cire Children’s Services, Cire Community School, Cire Training and Cire Community Hubs.

The initiative has particularly benefitted Children’s Services and Cire’s First Impressions Clothing Exchange which is operated by long-term unemployed women for financially disadvantaged women.

The range of items received include LEGO and a variety of other toys from suppliers such as I-Wood, Moose Toys and Disney, Jamie Oliver bowls and tumblers, children’s UV protective sun hats, headphones, Iconic fashion shoes and make-up/jewellery packs and gift packs. L’Oreal has been particularly generous. In addition to Good360, First Impressions has also received products from Natio.

Cire CEO, Gus Seremetis described as incredible, the generosity and impact of Good360 and its corporate donors.

‘Cire feels very privileged to be part of this program,’ said Ms Seremetis.

‘The positive impact for all those we serve is far-reaching. The benefits are endless, from making UV protective sunhats available to all those in our care through Cire Children’s Services, to headphones for students at Cire Community School to help them concentrate and block out unnecessary distractions, to providing long-term unemployed women with makeup packs and accessories to boost their confidence and self-esteem when applying for work and attending interviews.’

Ms Seremetis added that Cire staff have been excited with the Good360 deliveries, knowing how each will add value and quality to the services we provide and bring so much joy into the lives of people of all ages experiencing challenging circumstances.

Driven by a philosophy that one person’s extra is another person’s essential, Good360 supports NFPs of all sizes as well as grassroots organisations Australia wide, to transform lives and strengthen communities whilst also diverting goods destined for landfill and reducing waste.
