With over 30 years of executive experience in corporate and not-for-profit sectors, Gus blends strategic vision with a genuine passion for people, grounded in expertise in human resources, governance, and leadership.

Driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to opportunity and encouragement to aspire beyond their expectations, Gus has guided Cire through transformative growth over her 10 years as CEO, expanding its reach and impact. She draws on strategic insight developed from shaping Corporate Social Responsibility programs overseas, and has fostered in Cire a culture where every individual and team can thrive.

Gus’ leadership is rooted in collaboration, humility, and respect for every contribution. She believes true leadership is about continual learning and finding value in team conversations, whether in meetings or spontaneous morning chats at the coffee machine. Erin Weinberg

Chief Operating Officer

Every step of Erin Weinberg’s global career has prepared her to lead with heart, purpose, and connection. With more than 24 years’ experience in corporate services across the environmental, IT, financial, and media sectors, Erin has developed a deep appreciation for the contributions of every team member. Her collaborative leadership, professionalism, and commitment to operational excellence empower others to grow and succeed.

At Cire, Erin has played a key role in securing Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) status, a milestone that enabled enhanced salary packaging for staff and reinforced Cire’s capacity to offer vital community services. A qualified business manager, she champions continuous improvement, nurturing a supportive environment where opportunity and learning flourish.

Erin is a hands-on leader who values being present at graduations, celebrations, and community events, believing that every achievement – no matter how small – deserves recognition. Her work at Cire reflects her steadfast belief in building brighter futures through education, connection, and care for all.

Colin Brown

Executive Manager, People & Culture

Colin believes that every individual in an organisation, regardless of status or role, can drive meaningful change. With his team, he empowers people to help make Cire a workplace where everyone is heard, valued, and supported to grow.

Colin draws on 35 years of People & Culture experience across diverse sectors to lead innovative, people-centred initiatives at Cire. His achievements, from designing large-scale talent and succession planning to implementing streamlined recruitment strategies, have fostered a culture where staff engagement and feedback directly inform the organisation’s direction. For Colin, every interaction with a member of staff and team conversation is an opportunity to create positive momentum, building a culture of inclusion and ongoing improvement.

Inspired by Cire’s purpose-driven mission, Colin pours his energy into creating an environment of collaboration, trust, and care. He believes that when staff flourish, their passion radiates outward, uplifting the entire community Cire serves.

Warren McLeod

Executive Manager, Education

Warren is driven by a vision to break barriers and offer students hope, purpose, and the practical tools they need to make a meaningful contribution to the world. With 26 years of experience in educational leadership, coaching, and student wellbeing, Warren instinctively bridges the corporate and education sectors, guided by a deep understanding of how learning and wellbeing intertwine. His commitment lies in building environments where every student feels safe, valued, and supported.

His expertise extends beyond individual accomplishments; Warren thrives on collaboration and takes genuine pride in celebrating the unique talents within his team. By nurturing an atmosphere of trust and possibility, he ensures that the staff at Cire Community School are empowered to inspire students, creating a ripple effect of positive change that reaches across generations.

For Warren, each interaction – with students or colleagues – is a chance to foster growth, nurture self-worth, and kindle belief in brighter futures. Warm, humble, and driven, he sees every student’s potential as a flame waiting to be sparked. And with unwavering dedication, Warren pours his heart into lighting that flame every single day.

Vanessa Lister

Executive Manager, Training and Hubs

Vanessa works to connect people, building partnerships that create opportunities for her team and community. With over 20 years as a leader in education, training and workforce development, she approaches her work with strategy, vision, and deep respect for those she serves.

As Executive Manager for Training and Community Hubs, Vanessa leads Cire’s adult education and community services with a thoughtful, strategic focus. She is passionate about nurturing relationships with staff and partners as well as with students and the broader community. She listens closely to a wide range of voices to inform program design, ensuring that Cire’s work remains responsive, relevant, and of the highest quality.

Vanessa’s unwavering belief in the life-changing power of education and community connection inspires her every day. Her leadership helps Cire create opportunities that uplift individuals and families, making a lasting, positive difference for all.

Kim McConville

Acting Executive Manager, Early Learning

Driven by values and a passion for community, Kim McConville has made a significant impact in the not-for-profit sector across health and education. She has been instrumental in establishing new early learning centres and developing sound financial systems with experience in both finance and business management.

Kim’s business and systems background brings a fresh perspective to Cire Early Learning. Over six years of rapid growth and change at Cire, Kim’s strategic approach and collaborative leadership played a key role in expanding the existing services. She was integral to delivering three additional school campuses, two early learning centres, and the Early Years Learning Hub. These efforts have created welcoming spaces where children and families can thrive.

Kim is dedicated to children’s wellbeing and sense of belonging. She deeply appreciates Cire’s commitment to making a genuine difference in the community, particularly in the journeys of children as they discover their place of safety and learning. Her warmth and enthusiasm shine through as she empowers her team, fostering a culture where achievements are cherished and celebrated together.
