Trainee Assistant Educator

About the role

Whether you’ve recently left school, looking for a career change, or returning to the workforce, our early childhood traineeship program will set you up for a fun and rewarding career in this growing sector.

As a trainee with Cire, you will work alongside experienced educators, learn on the job, and earn while you learn. You will be supported to complete your Certificate III in the workplace, while working at one of our early learning services alongside mentors who will ensure you learn the theory and can apply it in your day-to-day work.

Your days will be fun, challenging, and varied, and may include:

  • Arrange spaces that inspire children through play-based and interest-focused activities
  • Encourage children to express themselves creatively and assist in developing each child’s self-confidence to succeed
  • Nurture meaningful partnerships with families, children, and educators
  • Learn and be guided by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning
  • Assisting with delivering the Bush Kinder program (selected locations only)

The Victorian early childhood sector is growing, and so is Cire, with career opportunities available across the Yarra Valley in Chirnside Park, Mt Evelyn and Yarra Junction. There’s no better time to join a sector that is in high demand with potential for career growth.

Your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121) will be delivered through Cire’s Registered Training Organisation (Cire Training), which provides a collaborative and supportive traineeship with hands on support in the workplace from your experienced Trainer. Access to online, self-paced resources will allow you to complete your traineeship faster and become qualified sooner.
