Childcare – Room Leader

About the role

Join an established team of educators that inspire children through play-based learning, nurture meaningful partnerships with children, families, other educators and encourage children to express themselves creatively and build self-confidence to succeed.

In the role of Room Leader, you would be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of educators
  • Delivering quality education and care (in line with Victorian Early Years Learning Framework)
  • Driving pedagogical practices
  • Developing enriching programs responsive to individual developmental needs and interests of children
  • Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, and other key stakeholders
  • Learn and be guided by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning

About you

A passion for educating and creating positive experiences for children, you will have:

  • An ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum)
  • Experience in a similar leadership position or have strong aspirations to lead a team of educators
  • An in-depth understanding of program development and behaviour guidance strategies, and can mentor others in this practice
  • Be an engaging and effective communicator (with children and families)
  • Understand obligations under Child Safe Standards obligations
  • Comfortable working within the National Quality and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks
  • Currently hold/willing to undertake – Working with Children Check and National Police Check
