A Safe And Caring Learning Environment
Our kindergarten program is thoughtfully designed to equip children with the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to thrive as they prepare for primary school. Through a combination of structured learning opportunities and play based exploration, children develop essential early literacy, numeracy and social skills.
Our experienced educators foster a love of learning, encourage creativity and build resilience, ensuring each child is prepared for a smooth and successful transition to primary school.
Integrated Kinder
Integrated kindergarten in a long day care combines the structured learning experience of a kindergarten program with the flexibility and extended hours of long day care services.
This model is designed to support families who require care beyond traditional kindergarten hours while still offering a high-quality, play-based curriculum delivered by qualified early childhood teachers.

Is kindergarten compulsory in Victoria?
No, kindergarten is not compulsory. However, it is strongly recommended because it helps children develop the social, emotional and cognitive skills needed for school. Most families find that attending two years of a quality Melbourne kindergarten program creates a much smoother transition to primary school.
Is Melbourne kindergarten free for Victorian families?
Under the Best Start, Best Life reforms, the Victorian Government provides funding to make kindergarten free or low-cost. In sessional programs, this typically covers 15 hours of care per week.
In integrated settings, a “Free Kinder” subsidy is applied to your account, reducing your out-of-pocket costs for the Melbourne kindergarten program.
What is the difference between sessional and integrated kindergarten?
Sessional kindergarten is a standalone program that usually runs for 15 hours a week during school terms.
Integrated kindergarten is provided within a long day care setting, offering the same teacher-led curriculum but with the flexibility of longer care hours and year-round operation.
Both options are popular choices for a Melbourne kindergarten experience.

If their birthday is in the first few months of the year, families can choose whether to start that year or wait until the following year.
