Learning for Sustainability Conference

Get your tickets now!

Now in its 4th year, EASL’s ‘Learning for Sustainability Conference’ is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people, hear from experts in the field, gain contacts and ideas to take back to your classroom, all while enjoying local food in a beautiful setting.
Cost: $50 for Local Tickets | $150 for External Tickets
Peter Hutton - Future Schools Alliance Director

Peter Hutton – Future Schools Alliance Director

The conference will kick off with a keynote presentation from Peter Hutton, Director of the Future Schools Alliance and Past Principal of Templestowe College. Peter’s strength is transformational insight and HOW to implement change in schools.

Peter was appointed Principal of Templestowe College (TC) in 2009. It was a “broken” school with just 286 local students and 23 Year 7s. Today, TC has over 1,150 students and has recently been recognised as one of the most innovative schools in the world. Drawing on the latest research and proven methodologies, Peter is committed to working with other school leaders to significantly improve the lives of young people by transforming the education system to equip students for times of exponential change.

Following this inspirational session, participants will join interactive workshop sessions that aim to equip delegates with skills, experiences and resources that they can take to promote and action change for sustainability.
Plumber of the Mind

Plumber of the Mind – Jason Clarke founder of Minds at Work

The conference will close with the acclaimed ‘Plumber of the Mind’, Jason Clarke. As founder of Minds at Work, he’s been helping people ‘think again’ since the end of the last century, working with clients across Australia in virtually every industry and government sector on issues ranging from creativity and troubleshooting to culture change and leadership.

This event has been heavily subsidised by EASLs member councils to ensure this remains an accessible event for all educators within the region. As such ticket fees are only a fraction of the cost per person and include booking fees, parking, GST and catering for morning tea and lunch. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and exclusive access to resources from the conference.

People wanting to attend from external council areas should contact the EASL coordinator via info@easl.com.au to be placed on the waiting list should additional spaces remain. External participants will be required to pay the full $150 fee.
