Psychologist (Provisional) School Based

About the role

Cire Services are looking to hire a new position within its newly formed Community School team – This role will provide psychological services and therapeutic support to individuals and groups, including to children, young people and families.

This role is based in Monbulk however may require travel to other sites such as Lilydale, Berwick and Yarra Junction. This is a FT role however we may be able to offer some flexibility for the suitable applicant

The main duties of the role include:

  • Contribute to the design, development and evaluation of Cire’s mental health and psychological programs and services.
  • Conduct Psychological Assessments for students at Cire Community school as referred by Wellbeing leaders, including provisional assessments.
  • Provide clinical advice to Cire staff and managers about ethical and effective ways to address the mental health and wellbeing needs of students.

About you

Ideally you will have a:

  • Degree in Psychology including full registration with AHPRA and the Australian Psychological Society

plus you will have:

  • Experience working with young people with trauma informed approach and understanding of neurodivergence.
  • Demonstrated advanced practice skills and an ability to undertake Psychological testing and assessments covering a broad range of presentations.
  • Knowledge and ability to use evidenced based psychometric assessment tools, including the capacity to provide psycho-educational and therapeutic group programs to children and their families (if deemed essential)
  • Maintain up to date, accurate and comprehensive records and case notes in accordance with AHPRA and APS best practice standards.
  • Adhere to ethical standards of clinical and research practice in accordance with AHPRA and APS policy frameworks.
