This course is designed to equip educators with the advanced skills and knowledge required to design and implement curriculum in early childhood education and care services. You will gain expertise in applying an approved learning framework and creating meaningful and enriching environments.
 
Units focus on developing a deep understanding of child development, effective teaching strategies, and the ability to foster inclusive practices that celebrate diversity and promote the wellbeing of children. You will be prepared to confidently manage curriculum design, staff development, and regulatory compliance in early childhood services. 280 hours of work placement to be completed in three placement blocks throughout the course.
 
Cire Training actively supports students to find and complete their required placements by working in partnership with local employers and community organisations. Our dedicated team assists with preparation, placement coordination, and ongoing support to ensure students gain valuable, hands-on experience in real-world settings.

Monthly sessions with your trainer in the workplace to support your studies. Online learning using interactive eLearning content. Students will require a clear Police Check and a Working with Children Check for work placement.

 

Entry Requirements

Students will require:

  • Completion of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121) (prerequisite) or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Alternatively, individuals may hold an Australian Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an Australian Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services.
  • Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence or hold the CHCSS00147 entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Current employment in an approved Early Childhood setting.
  • Moderate computer, email and internet skills.

Cire Training will assess prospective students’ existing skills, knowledge, and abilities (including Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) skills) and will identify any specific needs to ensure that their chosen course is suitable.
