About Level Up Youth Workers

Karina Stone

Youth Worker

My name is Karina and I am a Youth Worker and Pre-Accredited Trainer at Cire Services.
I started in 2020, helping to run ‘Lockdown LEGO’, a program that allowed us to connect and engage with kids who were vulnerable and isolated during multiple COVID lockdowns.

I then came onboard to run the Gravity Youth Program, and now ‘Level Up’ which has been a huge success.

Being a Youth Worker at Cire across various youth programs has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. It brings me a huge sense of fulfilment and joy to help the kids in our community feel safe, valued and heard.

I hope to continue growing and expanding our programs so we can positively impact the lives of as many kids as possible.

Jessy While

Youth Worker

My journey to becoming a youth worker began when I undertook placement as a student with Cire in 2021.

I worked with Karina in facilitating the Level Up Youth Group which sparked my love and enriched my passion for youth work.

My passion is driven by my belief that youth are a vulnerable group that needs safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces that allows them to be their authentic selves. After finishing my placement,

I became a part of the Cire team in 2022, where I have since become the youth worker for the Level Up Youth Group at our Chirnside Community Hub. Becoming a youth worker has been a major highlight as it has given me great joy as I love being able to connect with the kids and be inspired by their creative ideas and imaginations.

In addition to my work with Cire, I have undertaken various casual and volunteer roles in working with and advocating for young people within the Yarra Ranges.
