About our hubs
Cire Community Hubs at Yarra Junction and Chirnside Park help empower people to learn, connect and belong.
They are friendly, vibrant and inclusive offering an extensive range of services, education and leisure programs and community development activities that reflect community needs and interests.
Programs include parenting education, environment education, health and wellbeing support activities, and craft and hobby tuition.
Yarra Range Shire Council operates a maternal child care and health service at Chirnside Park.
The hubs facilitate a range of community supports on a daily basis such as public internet access; Centrelink access; free bread and meals.
Cire Community Hubs are active members of Neighbourhood Houses Victoria (NHV) and the Community Houses Association of the Outer Eastern Suburbs (CHAOS).
Services include
Courses and workshops based on community needs.
Parenting programs to provide support for parents and guardians
Community Connections – connecting the community to local and government services.
Room hire – all rooms have presentation facilities including telecommunication, overhead projector, whiteboard; heating and air conditioning. Located in Yarra Junction and Chirnside Park.
Public internet access – free internet access, computers, *faxing and printing.
Centrelink access point – free direct access to Centrelink via computer, telephone and fax (Yarra Junction only).
Free bread – available each Thursday
*faxing and printing is not included as a free service
