Cire's Yarra Junction Work Related Skills Class had a Careers Immersion Experience at the stunning racvhealesville . Students were given a tour of the property and learned about the wide range of employment opportunities available at the club. The class also had the opportunity to meet with RACV's Talent Acquisition Consultant, Danni and undertook an OHS Induction and Emergency Procedures questionnaire and assessment. By providing such valuable hands-on experiences, we're helping our students familiarise themselves with employment exercises early, setting them up for success when searching for employment opportunities. Thank you to the RACV Country Club and Resort for the opportunity. #CireCommunitySchool #CareersImmersionExperience #RACVResort #ValuableExperience #HandsOnLearning #CareerSuccess

It's a rite of passage for most young Australians that marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with independence and excitement. Students explored employment options across various trades and tech industries at the annual Trades Fit - Young Women in Trades and Tech Expo. Interactive displays allowed us to experience exciting careers in traditionally male-dominated industries. Students connected with employers and industry organisations in these fields to understand career pathways and requirements for various sectors. It was a highly valuable experience that we'll continue to offer to our students. #TheTradesFit #YoungWomenInTradesAndTech #NationalCareersWeek #CareerPathways #ConnectWithCire #CireServices #CireCommunitySchool

@Cirecommunityschool's Active Volunteering students had a fantastic experience at the @rspca_vic Careers and Volunteering event. They learned about the various volunteering roles that support the RSPCA and the career pathways in the Animal Care Industry. The students visited the barn to meet some friendly farm animals, hear their rescue stories, and listen to staff as they described their jobs and that of volunteers in the barn. They also met Lexi, the education dog, and heard about her inspiring rescue story. The students learned about how the community can help the RSPCA as a not-for-profit, non-government charity. We're proud of our students for taking the initiative to learn more about animal care and how they can make a difference! 🐾🐷🐮🐶 #RSPCA #AnimalCareIndustry #VolunteeringRoles

What an incredible moment for @cirecommunityschool students Cammy and Rhylie. After eight days of trekking through 96km of harsh terrain, they finally reached the Kokoda Track Arch, marking the end of their trek. It was a moment to take pride in the long journey they had just completed whilst facing their own challenges and to reflect upon our soldiers' remarkable bravery and resilience and the hardships they endured during the Kokoda Campaign of 1942. In 2022, the 39th Infantry Battalion (1941-43) Association Inc. and the Mt Evelyn, Monbulk and Lilydale RSL sub-branches released a scholarship to encourage young people to research and understand the sacrifice many people made in World War Two to keep our nation free. It was open to Year 11 students enrolled at a secondary school within the Shire of Yarra Ranges. By following her personal mantra of embracing challenges, Cire Community School student Cammy was honoured with the Cowey-Selman Kokoda Scholarship Award. Rhylie's scholarship application did not go unnoticed. A go-fundme page was established, and with the generous support of the community and fundraising efforts from his peers across Cire campuses, Rhylie was able to join Cammy on this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Cammy and Rhylie, we are immensely proud of your accomplishment, a journey many aspire to complete in their lifetime, and we look forward to welcoming you back to school very soon.
