As Executive Manager, Cire Training and Community Hubs, Laura Shortis has much to offer given her extensive background in leadership roles across the community services sector and her strong appreciation for the positive impact that comes with community involvement and a sense of belonging.
In her role as Executive Manager, Laura is always looking for opportunities to strengthen the relationships with individual members of the community, partner organisations and the community as a whole.
Laura believes that the key to the success is to provide opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, driven by a responsive approach to community needs.

Nina Bekker – Business Development Manager, Education and Training
Nina Bekker’s role as Manager of Pre-accredited Training is driven by her passion for adult learning, its accessibility and future. Pre-accredited training is funded by the Victorian Government through ACFE (Adult, Community Further Education) to provide education and training opportunities for learners who may not ordinarily access learning.
Nina has been with Cire since 2014 and brings much to her role with approximately 20 years in educational leadership in the adult learning field. She has two degrees in education and furthers her qualifications through professional development events focusing on strategic leadership within educational settings.
Committed to adult education and its future, Nina is constantly developing partnerships with both small and large organisations to strengthen the pre-accredited training sector.

Amanda Guillot – Training Manager
As the Quality Training and Assessment Manager, Amanda Guillot is responsible for ensuring that Cire’s accredited training is of the highest quality.
From a nursing background, Amanda discovered a passion for adult education and completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has worked in vocational education as a lead teacher and curriculum coordinator and has specialised in training across the health and community services sector. Amanda has a wealth of knowledge in the development of quality assessment tools and resources. Motivated by her determination to deliver quality training, Amanda further developed and enhanced her skills by completing a Diploma in Vocational Education & Training.
Amanda says she is privileged to be a part of a community-focused organisation which aligns with her own values.

Cindy Freedman – Manager, Student Services
Having first connected with Cire as a volunteer almost 10 years ago, Cindy Freedman never imagined she would become fully employed as Manager, Records and Reporting to assist and support students and trainers.
While her responsibilities are different to her contributions as a volunteer, Cindy continues to be inspired every day by Cire’s commitment to empowering people of all ages through a diverse range of learning opportunities.
As Manager, Records and Reporting Cindy finds it truly rewarding to witness the change in students from being a little nervous and apprehensive when they first enrol in a course to blossoming into confident and competent potential employees, excited about their futures.
