Area Manager – Early Childhood

Our Area Manager role is an exciting position that will lead and inspire high quality service provisions and drive the operational excellence across our centres. The Area Manager will lead and support a portfolio of services including, early learning (Long Day Care), sessional kindergarten, occasional care and OSHC programs, this role will be at the forefront of supporting new and existing services ensuring policies and processes are being implemented and the team have the tools they need to succeed.

Providing these services with pedagogical and educational leadership and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and Cire policies and processes. This role will also see you fostering the development of a strong team culture, operational management support, talent management/recruitment and agency management.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma or Bachelor Qualified within Early Childhood Education (Bachelor preferred)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an Area Managers role or Established Centre Manager supporting other centres.
  • Experience in providing training/mentoring and operational excellence across the centres also someone who enjoys being hands on to support when required.
  • Experience Strong business acumen, including a good understanding of financials and budgets.
  • Excellent understanding of National Quality Framework, including all legislation and regulations
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of the Education and Care Regulations, EYLF, VEYLDF, NQS and Children’s Services Award as well experience with assessment and rating.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, which you leverage to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, staff and families.
  • Full Australian drivers’ licence
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Clear Police Check
  • Clear Australian Right to Work Check
  • Currently hold, or willing to obtain, First Aid certificate
